My print work is a hybrid of the mono-silk screen process combined with more traditional stencil methods. Making the prints involves applying multiple layers of ink blocked by hand cut paper stencils. Because the stencils are made from paper registration is not precise and as the paper begins to disintegrate the edges become ambivalent, accidents and unintended artifacts are common. This gives the print a very rough and spontaneous look which is one of the chief attributes and most desirable characteristics of this method of silk screen printing. My subject matter is varied including mid-century modern themes, political satire, desert plants and animals. I hope you enjoy viewing the art as much as I have enjoyed creating it. If you like what you see please contact me so we discuss how I can help you to craft creative solutions to manage your company’s visual brand.
